Learning Activity 4: Cropping an image

 Eliminating distractions before and after:
I cropped in to remove the wall and camera from the photo, and created a cross composition through the line of the couch, the tie, the corner of the wall and the top boarder. 

 Emphasize part of image before and after: 
I wanted to emphasize the hand in the eye of the pony, and create tension by sitting the eye slightly off center.

 Horizontal to vertical image before and after:
I wanted to make this image vertical to focus on the figure in the self portrait, making the image look taller and more slender.

 Moving off-center before and after: 
I wanted to take a bland looking photo and show how, through correct placement of objects and moving certain objects into focus or off-center you can create a dynamic and more captivating photo.
